KERAMOS studios is a beautiful traditional pansion located in the heart of Zaros, a picturesque traditional village, 45 km from Heraklion at the plain of Psiloritis Mountain, featured with natural springs and a small lake.
It’s a traditional family guesthouse where the visitor can enjoy the Cretan  hospitality and the best breakfast in Crete made according to grandma’s recipes. Keramos’ lounge area is decorated with antiques, handicrafts, woven materials and a beautiful fireplace.

Location

Zaros is a picturesque traditional village, 45 km from Heraklion at the plain of Psiloritis Mountain, featured with natural springs and a small lake. Furthermore from Zaros within 15 minutes driving you can visit the town of Moires for shopping at the local shops and the open-air market (pazari) every Saturday. Close to Moires are the powerful, at ancient times, towns of Faistos and Gortyna. At last within 25 minutes driving you can reach the magnificent beaches of (famous) Matala, Komos, Agia Triada, Kokkinos Pyrgos e.t.c.

Rooms

Our rooms are big, bright and quiet, traditionally decorated and fully equipted with A/C, kitchenette, refrigerator, shower, WC, TV and elevator. Furthermore you can enjoy your breakfast or your coffee at the room's balcony, gazing at the magnificent view of the village's countryside.

Food & Beverage

Landlady Katerina prepares the breakfast herself using pure products right from the family farm: eggs, olive oil and cheese "myzithra", made by goat’s milk. Myzithra is the main ingredient of the famous creatan pies. You will have the chance to taste more than 20 kinds of pies, as cheese pie, pepper pie, hunt pie and other traditional ones (like "sarikopita", "tzoulama", "kaltsounia" and many more). We can also offer you yoghurt with wheat, "greek" coffee and tea made of mountain herbs.
Katerina’s breakfast has repeatedly won the first prize in various competitions and has been recorded in the most remarkable tourist guides!
