If there were medals dished out for friendliness, the Kalidon Panorama would win the gold hands down. Warm and welcoming, the staff here go out of their way to make guests feel at home. The setting also gets a big thumbs up. Sitting on a cushiony green hillside, it looks down over a perfect blue bay, with views that stretch as far as Turkey. There’s a never ending woods on the doorstep, which makes great walking territory. And to reach Lemonakia beach, it’s about a ten minute stroll or a hop on the hotel’s minibus. It’s the same story for getting into Kokkari village, too. Of course, that’s all if you want to move at all. Taking pride of place in the hotel grounds is the triangular-shaped swimming pool. Sunk into a smart terrace, it’s bordered by wooden sunbeds, white parasols and is as serene as they come. There’s also an alfresco snack bar with comfy wicker chairs and plenty of shady spots. And from wherever you are out here, the hotel is designed to make the most of the gorgeous views. They really do steal the show. There are also few activities laid on out here like table tennis and garden chess. You can hire bicycles as well. The Kalidon Panorama is fairly dinky as far as hotels go, but it’s got everything you need. In fact, from the moment you step into the elegant lobby you’ll know you made the right choice. With its art deco-style flooring, squishy sofas and vases of fresh flowers, it sets the scene for the rest of the hotel. There’s a lovely dining room which spills out onto a terrace and serves delicious Greek and international cuisine. And the bedrooms, though fairly compact, are tastefully furnished in neutral colour schemes and come with satellite TV, air-conditioning and balconies with sea or garden views.

It's only 400m from the beach Lemonakia and in a walk distance from the famous Tsamadou beach. The distance from the airport is 25 klm and 10 klm from the Samos town.
