Near the town of Chania, just 14 kilometers to the north, lies the sea-side village of Stavros in the area called Akrotiri. Stavros is world-famous for being the filming location of the critically acclaimed movie "Zorba The Greek" which was based on the novel "Alexis Zorbas" by Nikos Kazantzakis.
Hotel Zorbas, named after the hero of the novel, is just a few meters from a small sandy beach in 30,000 sq.m. of private land.
Guests of our hotel enjoy their stay in quiet, tranquil surroundings located in an unblemished natural environment. Our friendly service ensures a trouble-free and relaxing experience.
Our hotel's playgrounds in the gardens are a safe location for our younger guests to play. The gardens are well-tended and contain a wide variety of carefully selected flowers, herbs and trees which provide shelter for the myriads of birds which nest in the hotel grounds.
Inside thirty thousand square meters of private land and just a few meters from a small sandy beach.
Common facilities of the hotel include a tennis court, outdoor chessboard, sea-water swimming pool for adults and a separate one for children. The swimming pool and surrounding deck area are about 1000 sq.m. there are deck chairs and umbrellas where guests can enjoy their beverage or snack and the sunshine.
Apart from the pool, swimming and watersports await our guests a few meters from the hotel at the small sandy beach with crystal clear water.
Undoubtedly, what remains unforgettable is the wide, unobstructed view of sea all the way to the horizon setting the scene for picturesque sunsets which can be enjoyed from the privacy of each room's covered veranda.

Stavros is also close to areas of historical, archaelogical and natural importance.

Apostolos: the owner, who - with the hotel's personnel - is always willing to help, impart information and advice for organizing trips and visits to archaelogical, historic and areas of natural beauty like the Samaria gorge, the ancient palace of Knossos and others and can also help you in renting a vehicle.
Beach: because it is a beach-side resort.
Village: since due to the size of the hotel it is indeed like a village set in a fertile, green area. The complex is composed of 37 studios and 16 apartments, all of them on the ground floor.
Apartments are spacious enough to accommodate 3 to 4 people and have a bedroom and living room.
Studios are big enough for 2 to 3 people - 33 studios are 26 sq.m large and 4 are 18 sq.m.
For a large group of 5, 6 or more people there's always the possibility of renting adjoining studios or apartments which that communicate via a common door.
